Greetings, Bienvenue, and welcome to the Blue Earth Society's online virtual gallery. The BES is an association of fine artists brought together by a common desire to make and exhibit art that is positive. In our rapidly escalating global climate dominated by war, politics and the shadow of impending conflict, we've united to created art that is about life.

Art creates a personal reaction to each work we see. It can bring hope, it can light up a room. It is a language unto itself, crossing boundaries of culture, language and nationality. With a media focused on gloom and doom, daily crimes of violence, intent to sell us the latest fad diet, workout machine and beauty product, we see the role of fine art shifting. Art can renew us. It can focus us on what's really important and ground us back to reality.

Explore the different areas of the site. The gallery houses a group show, changing monthly. Artist galleries contain shows and collections of work, some new, some archived from past exhibits. Le Livre Overt is the "Open Book". We record our thoughts, writings and ramblings. It is open to you the reader, to contribute to. Enjoy the art and contact us if it moves you. Thank you again for visiting us.

The Blue Earth Society seeks artists, writers and poets with a passion for advancing humanity through art. Send us a liine, email Eric.

The Dance of Life
by Rachel Golub

When I paint, I go beyond what the eyes visibly see. I feel the flow of infinite energy, the continual renewal of the universe. Molecules, atoms and cells always in motion, nothing is real and still as it visually appears. Life is simply flowing energy. That is what I paint.

I don’t use a paintbrush, but instead find it more exciting to experience the fluidity of the flowing paint as I pour it onto the canvas. Sometimes I roll the paint, again, feeling the flowing movements of motion.

My paintings may appear chaotic and uncontrolled to some, but to the contrary, I guide the paint in the direction I want it to go, while at the same time, the paint guides me. I enjoy the feeling of freedom as I glide the stick over the canvas in various liquid dancing movements.

Meet the Artist – Michael Golub
by Joose Hadley

Michael Golub is an unusual artist as artists go. Almost every stereotype which could be applied to artists in general just doesn’t stick with Michael. If one plotted the individuals of such a diverse group on a bell curve, he would most likely place on the end with the “over-achievers” and the “type-A’s”; the end where goals are achieved and life is good.

Michael is an artist who also happens to be a lawyer. He got his J.D. Law degree at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale in 1990 and works as an Attorney and Certified Family Law Mediator in Orlando. When asked about how he felt about supporting his art with another career, he replied, “Painting is just something I need to do for some reason to complete the picture. I’m happy that I don’t need to think about whether anyone will buy a painting when I paint it. I do love to sell them, of course. But “sale-ability” is not a consideration when I paint.
